Well, thanks for taking it easy on me today as I attempted to lead us through some aspects of better prayer practice. For those of you following along, We covered Chapter 6 today in "The Life You've Always Wanted."
I am so excited to see my old friends every Sunday and I wanted to welcome all the new faces to class--it is so nice to meet other adults in our church. I hope you will continue to worship with us.
I wanted to just briefly post our joys and concerns for this week so that as you strive for better prayer practices this week, you remember to ask God's blessing in these families' lives:
McGee & Mike Clopper--McGee lost her dad to cancer about 10 days ago.
The Bowling family (Colin, Kara, Mary Evelyn, & John)--Molly & Jason's neighbor and friend who lost their home and pets in a fire this week
Lawrence Zuehlke--David's dad for recovering from a trip to the hospital due to his heart
Linda--Chris' mom who lost her rental property and her job this week
Carrie Culpepper's nephew--who has been in the hospital due to some autoimmune problems
Ryan Tomlinson--my friend Kristi's child who is in the hospital and awaiting transplant
Welcome Nolan Mays--Dawn and Michael's new nephew
Also, the O'Neills brought to our attention a question that we should think about. We will plan a class date to discuss and put our ideas on paper. (Maybe the first weekend of Spring Break, March 14) The question is: What gifts and talents would we like to see in a new Senior Pastor?
Again, so good to see everyone. May we all be more honest in our prayers this week.
Laurie Zuehlke
