Well, Thanks to all who joined us in the Atkin Hall Theatre to enjoy Dr. Beverly Jones' presentation on Methodism. Today the series wrapped up so we have new things on the horizon:
Next week February 7 we will have a pot luck breakfast in our classroom, M1. Please bring easy items--finger type food, fruit, etc. I will bring juice, paper goods, and make sure the coffee is brewed. We will preview our upcoming lesson and just catch up with everyone.
A couple of items on the agenda for togetherness:
My son, Sam, was very interested after Brenda's children's sermon today, in helping put together the Health kits for Haiti. After the WNL meal on Feb 3 you can help assemble the kits--we will be there. I thought this may be a good opportunity to get together and do some good. You can also donate items for the kits (all items must be new). Each kit contains: 1 hand towel, 1 wash cloth, 1 comb, 1 nail file or clipper, 1 3 oz or larger bar soap, 1 toothbrush (adult in individual wrapper), 6 plastic bandages, and $1 for UMCOR to purchase toothpaste.
I am also planning a spring picnic--maybe Berry Springs park--for April. I'm thinking the weekend after Easter so be thinking on a date and we will discuss on Sunday.
Can't wait to catch up. Many Blessings this week.
Laurie Z
