It was great to see you all on Sunday. I hope you had success slowing down on Sunday and observing the Sabbath. I did not do so well: with David traveling to Dallas Monday I had to set up my classroom on Sunday. However, I tried to do it with the spirit of the children that I teach in my heart as it does bring me joy to provide a safe, nurturing place for them to learn. I also have thought many times this week already about kairos--fulfilled time--remembering that it is not me that makes the day and night but my choices determine how I spend them.
Dotty has ordered books for those of you who do not have one yet. They should be in by Sunday.
Also, please remember to mark your calendars for October 25--pumpkin carving over at our house. Sharpen your knives, men. This Sunday I will bring a list to sign up for food. I'm thinking we will do sandwich trays and snacks/chips since we never really have a "sit down". This way, it will make it easy to sit outside if we want.
Again, hope you are having a great week. May God Bless it in many ways.
