Hi all. Just wanted to share with you the scripture I printed up for Britt and Daphne's departure gift. I was very inspired by the words and thought you may be too. Looking forward to seeing everyone at SS tomorrow.

New Day Sunday and Fall Activities

Hi all fellow Hope Class members.

Today we talked all about our new lessons and activities for the Fall. What an exciting year we have ahead.

First, next Sunday is New Day Sunday. The fellowship services will change times and we will meet in our room to welcome any new visitors we may have. We are bringing just easy breakfast snacks and treats to class. Hope you all can be there.

For the Fall, we are beginning a lesson on Attentiveness and how it relates to learning and practicing Christianity. We will begin this lesson on Labor Day weekend.

We also are planning an four week Advent study for Advent with a possible joint venture with another class.

As for the annual Pumpkin carving party, we will have it as always on the Sunday before Halloween--Oct 25th around 5pm. Location TBA.

In the Spring we are working on getting Dr. Beverly Jones, the Southwestern Chaplain, to lead us in a study of Wesley's theology and how it relates to today's church.

Thanks again for all the brainstorming and ideas today. Bless you all as another chapter in our children's school lives begins this week.
